Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Simpled Tech Limited ("Simpled", "we", "us") handles information when you use the Simpled Keyword Planner application (the "Application"). The Application is an internal tool used by our own staff; it is not offered to the general public.

1. Who we are

2. Google user data we access

When you sign in with Google, the Application requests the Google Ads scope (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords). Through the Google Ads API the Application accesses:

• The list of Google Ads accounts your Google account can access (account IDs and names), used to select the account to query.
• Keyword Planner data returned for the seed keywords you enter: keyword ideas, average monthly searches, competition level and bid estimates.
• The OAuth tokens Google issues so the Application can make these requests on your behalf.

The Application does not access your Gmail, Contacts, Drive, Calendar or any other Google service, and it does not read personal information about the people who search on Google.

3. How we use this data

We use the data only to perform keyword research for Simpled's own marketing: choosing which search terms to target for the products sold on simpled.uk. We do not use Google user data for advertising to you, for profiling, for training machine-learning models, or for any purpose unrelated to keyword research.

4. Where the data is stored

• OAuth tokens are stored in a file on the computer of the staff member who signed in, in a directory restricted to that user. Tokens are never committed to source control or uploaded elsewhere.
• Keyword results are saved as CSV or JSON files on the same computer or in Simpled's internal file storage.

5. Sharing of data

We do not sell, rent or share Google user data with third parties. Data is not transferred to any other service. It may be disclosed only if required by law.

6. Google API Services User Data Policy

Simpled Keyword Planner's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

7. Retention and deletion

OAuth tokens are kept until you revoke access or until they expire. Keyword result files are kept for as long as they are useful for the marketing project and are deleted afterwards. You can request deletion of any data associated with your Google account by emailing dev.simpled@gmail.com.

8. Revoking access

You can revoke the Application's access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account permissions page. Revoking access immediately invalidates the stored tokens.

9. Security

Access to the Application is limited to Simpled staff. Token files are stored with restricted file-system permissions and are excluded from version control. Requests to Google are made over HTTPS only.

10. Your rights

If you are in the UK or EU you have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict its processing. Contact us at the address above to exercise these rights.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. Continued use of the Application after a change means you accept the updated policy.
