Simpled Keyword Planner

An internal keyword research tool built and used by Simpled Tech Limited.

What this application does

Simpled Keyword Planner is a command-line application that connects to the Google Ads API to retrieve keyword ideas and search-volume metrics from Google Keyword Planner. Our marketing team uses it to research which search terms customers in the United Kingdom use when looking for smart door locks and related products sold on simpled.uk.

Who uses it

The application is used only by employees and contractors of Simpled Tech Limited. It is not offered to the public, and it does not have user accounts of its own. Access is granted by signing in with a Google account that already has access to the Simpled Google Ads accounts.

How it works

• A team member signs in with Google and grants the application the Google Ads scope (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords).
• The tool sends seed keywords (for example, "smart lock") to the Google Ads API and receives keyword ideas with average monthly searches, competition and bid estimates.
• Results are saved locally as CSV or JSON files for the team's own analysis.

The tool only reads planning data. It does not create, edit or delete campaigns, ads, budgets or billing settings.
